RIAs have successfully assimilated the two driving forces overhauling the financial services industry – the increasing push to fee-based business and growing shift towards independence.

However, a few challenges remain.

It is nearly impossible for an RIA to be an expert on emerging platforms and technology, manage compliance and regulatory issues, search for growth capital and find a successor, all while advising clients and developing new relationships.  Many RIAs are finding that partnering with an established umbrella RIA allows them to outsource the headaches of running their business so they can focus on what they do best, advising their clients.
